Mr Reg Hillary

Reg Hillary along with his co-driver Jack Young won the inaugural 1961 Trans-Canada Rally while driving a
1961 Studebaker Lark V8. It proved to be a very grueling Rally which saw them drive and navigate over
4100 miles across Canada in just 7 days. In his younger days he proved to be a very skilled Rally car driver
which also included Dirt bikes and Ice racing. He came to Canada from the UK in 1957 working as an
Aerospace Engineer in Scarborough, Ontario. Reg & his wife Shirley, who reside in Cambridge, Ontario continue
to be very active in life while wintering each year in South Florida. For more info on the 1961 Trans-Canada Car rally
