Mr Stu Chapman

Stu & Thelma Chapman enjoying themselves at Daytona Beach
As the Studebaker of Canada Advertising and Public Relations Director from 1964-66. Stu, as part of Studebaker
Management in Hamilton, was there during the good times of expansion and the sad day when the Hamilton Plant
doors were closed. He was also an avid Studebaker rally car driver back then and has been involved with Studebakers
and the Studebaker Drivers Club (SDC) for many decades while also having the honour of being the only Canadian
President of the SDC. He is also a Life Trustee of the Studebaker National Museum in South Bend, Indiana.
Stu and his wife Thelma are regular visitors to sunny Daytona Beach in the winter enjoying the great weather
and nearby beach that were the scene of many a great Auto race.
Sadly on March 8th, 2024 Stu passed away at the age of 90. Stu will be deeply missed by all
members of the Chapman family and many fellow SDC members who got to know him over the years.
